BACKBITTING-1

They have just told you what they think they know about him. Without a second thought, you took in everything they said--- hook, line and sinker. They have successfully painted a false picture of him out of hatred, envy and/or sheer ignorance and carefully placed it on your mind. He has been stereotyped to be a liar, prostitute, pilferer, never-do-well, etc.
Instead of trying to get close to him in order to confirm or refute the stories making rounds and perhaps correct him in love, you joined the league of people who bandy his/her name about. He has heard what people say about him but did not even make a move to decry the stories because he has more important issues to attend to and you took his silence for admittance of people’s claims.

Remember you are not an exception or a sacred cow. As they painted an ugly picture of your neighbor behind his back, an uglier picture about you is being painted by those same people at your back. Stay away from gatherings where people are discussed and painted black; you might be a victim tomorrow.

If you notice anything bad/negative about a friend, neighbor, or acquaintances, walk up to them and let them know your observations. Stop backbiting, it does not pay-----no gain at all is attached to it. Be your brothers’ keeper. Always have the back of your neighbor covered and he will continue to watch over yours.

CHALLENGES OF LIFE-1
Ups and downs have become integral part of life. In fact any life devoid of challenges and deserving successes is not worth living. Many people have been made to believe that challenges and obstacles in life are masterminded by adversaries ---that life should be a bed of roses.

But this is far from the truth as no single person who lived or still lives a life of success can boldly say s/he never encountered challenges in the course of life’s journey. The journey of life and its accompanying vagaries and vicissitudes should be seen as mileage markers and springboards to success. And until we come to terms with this fact and appreciate it to a reasonable degree, we will still see life as being fair to some people and unfair to others. It is true nobody bargained for challenges in life, but the earlier we accept them, the smoother our journeys will become.

Every obstacle on our way through life is programmed to make us strong enough to achieve the tasks ahead of us and all we need is strategic planning to find ways through which we can grapple with our challenges in life. We should expend our energy and time in trying to find a way out of our challenges rather than blaming the creator of the world or any other person we think is responsible for all we go through in life.
When challenges come, take them as battles that must be won in order to get to your desired altitude. I will end with B. C. Forbes quote: ‘’history has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encounter heart-breaking obstacles but they triumphed.

MOVE ON1

I understand you have tried helping yourself but it seems to be beyond your control.
You have sought help from different sources but could not get any.
You are now taken to masturbation; you are ingrained in the habits of porn-watching, smoking, alcoholism, etc. All these habits make you forget your problems momentarily; they give you solace and immediate, but ephemeral satisfaction.

But I want to remind you that you have not really found the solution to your problems---you are aware such problems still exist.

You have not really embraced the right solution.
You have not taken the right step.
You have not gotten in touch with the right people. Take a step further, hook up with God and people with right mindsets ,make resolutions and you would no longer need such bad habits to literally cool off.

YES YOU CAN!!!!!!

It is not too late; you can still do it. You can start HERE today and get THERE tomorrow. There were people who had shorter time and lesser opportunity but achieved even more than you intend achieving.

Pessimists will tell you that it’s already late to plan or even start—that your adventure will be dead on arrival. But the question you have to ask yourself is; have you really given it a trial or an attempt? Start somewhere today and you will see that your goals are very much within the realms of possibility.

Don’t get tired when the game has not even started; continue playing until the final whistle is blown. You can start somewhere today and see yourself anywhere you want to be—never give up. It’s not too late to start!! Pay deaf ears to those who discourage, either by their words or action.
